Pixel Helper by Creativism — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Pixel Helper (“the extension”) is a browser extension that shows which tracking tags (such as Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) are installed on the web page you are viewing, which events they send, and common setup issues. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your data.
Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or browsing data to Creativism or to any third party. Tag detection reads the page’s scripts, page variables, dataLayer and the tracking requests the page itself makes. This happens locally in your browser and the results are shown only to you inside the extension popup. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Permissions we use
- activeTab & scripting: used to scan the tab you are viewing, only after you click the extension icon. Access is temporary and limited to that tab.
- Optional access to all sites: requested only if you turn on “Record events from page load”. It lets the extension observe tracking requests from the moment a page starts loading, so events fired before you open the popup can be shown. The observed data stays inside that page in your browser and is never transmitted. You can turn this off at any time, which removes the permission.
No remote code
The extension runs only the code bundled inside its package. It does not download or execute code from remote servers.
No tracking
The extension contains no advertising, no analytics, and no background tracking of any kind. The “Copy report” button copies the scan result to your clipboard only when you click it.
